Remembrance 2024
Mon 11 Nov 2024Year 6 led our very moving remembrance assembly. It was a wonderful tribute to commemorate all the brave soldiers who lost their lives fighting for their country in both the First and Second World Wars. We held a 2 minute silence and all the children showed respect during this time.
In their classes, the children have written poems and completed artwork linked to remembrance and it is displayed in the school hall. We also laid a poppy wreath at the Cenotaph in Vulcan Park.
We will remember them.

Food Bank Assembly
Fri 08 Nov 2024Stuart from the local Food Bank gave a very interesting assembly this week. He told us where food comes from and how important it is to share. Timmy the Tuna Can was a big hit with the children and gave lots of advice on the kinds of foods needed in the Food Bank.
We are looking forward to helping by bringing food in to school over the next couple of week for the Food Bank.
