  • RSPB Big Bird Watch

    Wed 19 Jan 2022 L Hamer

In 2021, more than one million people took part in Big Garden Birdwatch, all coming together to look out for birds. Why not join in and be one in a million for 2022?

Shockingly, we’ve lost 38 million birds from UK skies in the last 50 years, so it really is vital we do all we can to look after our birdlife.  (Source:https://www.rspb.org.uk/get-involved/activities/birdwatch/)

St Patrick's is taking part in the Big School's Birdwatch this year.  This encourages our pupils to be citizen scientists, taking part in the world's largest wildlife survey. Two year groups have already starting thinking about how we can take care our wildlife by making bird feeders in school.  We are looking forward to finding out which birds we count during this fabulous national event!

  • Bright Stars Campaign

    Wed 14 Jul 2021 Year 6

Year 6 successfully completed their sponsored walk. They walked 100 laps around the track - distance of 5 miles! Some chose to run whereas others chose to walk, however all completed the full distance. There were some tried faces at the end but everybody had a great morning in the Sun! Also, Year 6 won the "Best Positive Outcome" category for their Bright Stars project. For this, they were awarded a certificate and trophy by Centre For Leadership Performance. This is a fantastic achievement and they fully deserve this for their hard work and commitment shown throughout the campaign. Well done everybody!
